Investigative Exercise 5 Social Networking

when it comes to social networking within a library it can be a boon, attracting more people to the library and ultimately making the librarians job of staying abreast of their clients needs and wants much easier, but it could just as easily back fire if not used properly and damage the reputation if not used correctly luckily there are many different tools available to the average library

for instance Myspace is a popular medium for businesses and groups rather then individuals but if the library wants to connect with individuals and provide opportunities for their clients to connect with on another Facebook is an invaluable tool.

in the end it's all a matter of being aware of your clients needs and expectations are to begin with and building on that to create and effective social medium to not only reach established users but also make other aware of what a great service you provide.
