Investigative Exercise 6 Social Bookmarking

In looking in to the libraries and the options of the book reviewing and social book marking practices, it is interesting to see the different ways in which libraries will utilize this tool

the Tasmanian state library provides pop up windows for their reviews within the libraries catalog were as the the Stonnington library in Victoria has clear institutions about how to place a review and list the posted review on a separate page to the cataloging record this allows them to avoid the issue of cluttering their record with similar reviews while still having the service readily available

this is a useful tool in most libraries it allows the people who use the material on a regular basis to leave their thoughts and opinions on the subject for other users to see allowing both clients and safe to see how effect the material is in meeting the needs of the general public
